Quick Win: An easy way to rotate through SCOM Dashboards

In Operations Manager 2012 we can create useful and cool dashboards! This is very meaningful to helpdesk teams, that sometimes make use of a large central monitor to display such dashboards.
But what if you want to publish multiple Dashboards onto that one central monitor?
Here’s a way to do it. Start Internet Explorer and open each dashboard into its own TAB.

Then start a small powershell script that cycles through those different tabs. Make sure you set the focus on your Internet Explorer browser.

do
{
start-sleep -Milliseconds 15000
[System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys]::SendWait(“^{TAB}”)
}
While ($i -ne 0)

or in vbscript

Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject(“WScript.Shell”)
Do While i=0
  WScript.Sleep(15000)
  WshShell.SendKeys “^{TAB}”
Loop

You are now actually using the SendKeys to initiate a Ctrl + Tab (like you can do manually) to cycle through the Ie Tabs.
This one is real easy and is subject to be improved (Feel free)

    Had to load the library to get it to work for me –

    [void] [System.Reflection.Assembly]::LoadWithPartialName(“‘System.Windows.Forms”)
    do
    {
    start-sleep -Milliseconds 15000
    [System.Windows.Forms.SendKeys]::SendWait(“^{TAB}”)
    }
    While ($i -ne 0)

    Hi,

    My team has exactly the same requirement as you mentioned,but we also require the page to be refreshed at periodic intervals .This can be achieved by using Refresh() function supplied by IE.

    Now my requirement is can we Refresh the page before we send the key?

    I mean there are four tabs tab1,tab2,tab3 and tab4 Assume tab1 is active tab.

    Now before we switch (send key) to tab2 is it possible to refresh the content of tab2?

    For info,this functionality i have seen in one of the plugin for chrome called “Revolver Tabs” (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/revolver-tabs/dlknooajieciikpedpldejhhijacnbda?hl=en)

    Thanks
